Lodging Accommodations

At Nutt’s Country Cabins you will find 4 modern cabins, complete with hot and cold running water, electricity with 2 bedrooms each with single beds, fully equipped for housekeeping, with a lakeside view. The cabins are Cozy, Comfortable and Clean. We call it the three C’s.

Each cabin comes with a large 12’ x 20’ front deck with electrical outlets to plug-in your equipment batteries. All cabins have hot and cold running water and electricity. Each cabin comes with a 3 piece bath, a complete kitchen with full sized fridges, stoves, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and teapot, all dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils and pots and pans, tea towels, dishcloths and dish soap. Each cabin has a common room that hosts a living/dining room. Outside on the front deck there is gas grill, with outside chairs and tables to sit on the deck. In the front yard of each cabin there is fire pit for a nice camp fire to sit around and enjoy the warmth of a bonfire. There is a picnic table nearby each fire pit where you can enjoy eating outdoors after preparing your dinner meal over an outdoor grill. Or, sit back and relax beside the crackling fire while you take in the evening hours. And of course the most important – a beautiful view of the lake.

There is plenty of parking area as Nutt’s Country Cabins hosts 6 acres of land. A fish house available 24/7 and not to brag, probably one of the cleanest fish houses you will ever see with plenty of electric plug-ins and work area to prepare your fish. After having filleted your catch of the day in a clean, screened in fish cleaning house, you have enjoyed a hearty walleye dinner, grab an outdoor chair and light up a bonfire in front of your cabin and let the fish stories begin…

A real benefit is that you can arrive on any day of the week you choose and depart on any day you choose. You pick the number of days you wish to visit, not us, and you only pay for the days for which you stay. Too many camps force their guests to depart on a mid-week day or on a Saturday because that is THEIR changeover days. We strive to provide you with as much flexibility as possible in that we work around your schedule and not you working around our schedule. Customer service at Nutt’s Country Cabins is our key to providing you with the best possible vacation in the area.

RV SITES AND TENTING SITES

Electric Service and Water Sites:

Our operation is smaller then most campgrounds in the area. We currently have 2 service sites for RV’s with 20 amp service and water. Each site comes with a picnic table and fit pit. These sites are on waterfront lots and located between our 2 docks. We do have plans to expand our camping sites in the near future. Please note that we do not have a central showers or flushing toilets facilities for our campers; Nor, do we have a waste dumping station.

No Electric Service or Water Sites:

Our operation is smaller with currently only 2 non service sites that include a fire pit and a picnic table. There is water available from the public tap near the fish house and an outhouse behind the fish house. These sites back onto a wilderness and are adjacent to the waterfront sites.

If you are a big group of tenting and no need for electricity service we do have a large open area with a large fire pit.

WE HAVE PUBLIC LAUNCHES

The town of Sioux Lookout operates and maintains 9 water access points on 9 of our most popular fisheries. To name a few would include the famous Lac Seul which is minutes from camp. The Big Vermilion launch neighbours Nutt’s Country Cabins and then there is the Abram Lake launch. These sites are maintained on a regular basis to ensure the safety of your equipment. You may come and go as you please and use the launches at any time of the day or night. Your vehicle is quite safe being left at the launch site as these launches are regularly monitored and will ticket vehicles without proper launch passes. The town of Sioux Lookout has boat pass launches and charges $10/day, $20/week or $45 for the year. Passes are available at Nutt’s Country Cabins as well as various locations throughout the community.

The boat launch pass is good for any of the 9 boat launches in within the borders of Sioux Lookout. So many lakes to choose from, you’ll want to make a return visit to the area to have the time to enjoy all that we have.  We have maps and launch passes available at camp for your convenience and upon check-in, and will ensure the desired pass is issued.
